Private Music Lessons at LIVE! School of Music

Students learn, rehearse, and perform structured arrangements designed to develop technique, musicianship, and confidence. As part of the private lesson experience, students may participate in spotlights—our low-pressure alternative to traditional recitals—performing with a professional house band in a supportive environment.
OVERVIEW
Private music lessons at LIVE! School of Music offer focused, one-on-one instruction for students ages 6 through adult, supporting musical growth alongside ensemble-based learning. Our private lessons follow a Rockschool-aligned instrument curriculum, helping students build strong fundamentals while learning real music across rock, pop, jazz, blues, soul, and film repertoire.

LIVE!’s professional instructors provide undivided attention during each lesson, focusing on: Instrument technique and musicianship, Rhythm, timing, and musical understanding, Confidence through structured practice and performance opportunities, through a supportive mentorship within a creative, student-centered environment

We offer in-person private music lessons at our North Miami and Hallandale studios, as well as online private lessons for families seeking flexibility. Lessons are available for beginners, intermediate, and advanced students, with instruction tailored to individual learning styles and musical interests.

Our curriculum covers all the core techniques required for playing beginner rock, pop, metal, country, indie, and hip-hop basslines, to learning all five shapes of the Minor Pentatonic, advanced arpeggios, and sophisticated solo and syncopation techniques, including slap-and-pop and hammer-on styles and more.
