Meet Singer-Songwriter and Producer Ayleen Valentine | Based in LA
Ayleen was a student at LIVE! from 2017-2019. She always showed great aptitude for music and artform in a genuine manner; her voice and performance style was unique from the start. A multi-instrumentalist, Ayleen got interested in learning piano, bass, and vocal technique and was part of a band of musicians who still play and tour together: Steven Shapiro on guitar and David Lehr on bass, both LIVE! students whom we've known for years! :)

"Around June of last year, I started meeting a lot of record labels. At first, it was all new and exciting, but the process began to get long and frustrating. I told my manager to stop taking meetings to focus on my art. Right around then, we got hit up by a label named Giant. My manager told me to trust him and take the meeting, so I did. This was the first meeting where I walked in, and everyone had a notebook filled with ideas and questions about my music and life. Thank you, Giant, for believing in me without insane numbers or a TikTok going viral, just [my] music."
